چکیده
Abstract The intercalation of 2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxyacetic acid (MCPA) herbicide into the interlayer matrix calcium–aluminium layered double hydroxide (CaAl LDH) host has been successfully done via co-precipitation method to form CaAl-MCPA nanocomposite, proposing an eco-friendly alternative with adjusted delivery system for application. process is supported by powder X-ray diffraction analysis expanded spacing from 8.6 19.6 Å nanocomposite pH 13, which due inclusion larger size anion in interlayer. Next, absence a nitrate peak at 1,326 cm −1 and presence newly formed 1,416 Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy also confirmed intercalation. significant decrease nitrogen content 0.50% indicates MCPA using carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, sulphur analyser. release rate aqueous solutions initially rapid, followed slow order phosphate > carbonate chloride pseudo-second-order kinetic model. Hence, conducted studies exhibit successful its controlled mechanism as potential hybrid green herbicide.

Herbicides, namely 4-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy) butyrate (DPBA) and 2-(3-chlorophenoxy) propionate (CPPA), were intercalated simultaneously into the interlayers of zinc layered hydroxide (ZLH) by direct reaction of zinc oxide with both anions under aqueous environment to form a new nanohybrid containing both herbicides labeled as ZCDX. Successful intercalation of both anions simultaneously into the ...
متن کاملLayered double hydroxide nanomaterials as potential cellular drug delivery agents*
This paper briefly reviews the recent progress in using layered double hydroxide (LDH) nanomaterials as cellular delivery agents. The advantages of LDHs as cellular delivery agents are summarized, and the processes of interaction/de-intercalation of anionic drugs (genes) into/from LDH nanoparticles are discussed. Then the cellular delivery of LDH-drug (gene) nanohybrids and subsequent intracell...
